Do you have a passion for community engagement and environmental sustainability? Are you a proactive leader with a proven track record in project management and volunteer coordination? If so, then we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity to join Glendale Managed Services as our new Community Development Manager!
In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering a strategically important contract to maintain the parks and open spaces within the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames. You will be responsible for fostering community partnerships, developing volunteer programs, and promoting sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with community groups and individuals to identify and develop volunteering opportunities.
- Develop and implement community projects focused on park maintenance, landscape improvements, and environmental initiatives.
- Manage volunteer programs, ensuring safety and providing training.
- Build relationships with internal departments, client teams, and external organizations to facilitate community work.
Qualifications:
- A nationally recognised academic qualification to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or equivalent experience in the parks management/grounds maintenance sector.
- A full, clean driving license.
- Experience in community engagement, project management, and volunteer coordination.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
