CONTRACT MANAGER - Grounds Maintenance

East Hertfordshire District Council

Glendale is a market leader in ground maintenance, tree care and landscaping are seeks an experienced manager to oversee our flagship contract at East Herts DC

The Opportunity

This is an outstanding career opportunity to deliver a strategically important contract offering the full range of services throughout East Hertfordshire. Primarily focusing on the core  grounds maintenance activities, litter collection, grass cutting shrub maintenance, conservation maintenance, and landscape improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of managing grounds maintenance and project teams and be able to drive productivity while ensuring the workforce provides a quality service. Candidates should have a strategic outlook to enable continuous improvement and identify efficiencies along the way.

 

This is a hands-on role involving monitoring the progress of teams on-site and taking quick and effective action to maintain both high productivity and client satisfaction. You will have full responsibility for the Contract accounts and the production of weekly and monthly reports.

The Person

Candidates should be well-organised, and have skills and experience in people and contract management, with a passion for horticulture, conservation & the natural environment. Above all, they need to be flexible and possess excellent leadership ability, enthusiasm, people management, and communication skills.  A horticultural qualification and a good understanding of IT and previous experience in working in a regulated sector involving numerous stakeholders would be preferred.

You should have a strategic outlook to meet short, medium, and long-term objectives and champion continuous improvement.
