Full Time - Fixed Term - 3-6 Months

At Glendale, we have a great new opportunity for someone to join our team at Gatwick Airport working on a variety of sites within the Contract as a Grounds Maintenance Operative
The role is initally advertised as Short/Fixed Term but could be extended to a full time position.

Who are you?
Skilled in grounds maintenance operations with an awareness of all Health and Safety Legislation is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills
Supervisory/leadership experience would be an advantage
A full clean UK driving licence is required as you may be required to operate ride-on mowers and drive company vehicles/tow trailers
Certified in PA1 & PA6 is desirable
A Glimpse into the Role Awaiting You
Assisting the Contract Manager and Supervisor in the effective management of the programmed maintenance
Proactively leading by example with grounds maintenance work as part of a diverse team.
Maintenance and management of security of the vehicle, plant and equipment.
Undertake training relevant to driving and operating vehicles and other plant in the landside and airside environments,
Completing necessary daily check sheets and paperwork involved with the smooth running of operations
Support and guidance of the service delivery team e.g.fellow grounds maintenance operatives.
The role will require the candidate to access all external areas in his/her role and as such, in addition to personal references, the candidate will have to provide a personal reference, a minimum of 5 years of employment reference with any gaps larger than 28 days to be additional referenced, evidence of security clearance will be required and to provide an up to date CRB check.
